What is Rejuran?

Rejuran is an injectable gel made from polynucleotides (PN), purified DNA fragments derived from salmon. It is included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) as a Class III medical device, intended to promote tissue restoration and reconstruction and improve physical appearance.

Rejuran does not add volume or change facial structure. It is placed into the dermis to focus on skin quality: the look of hydration, texture and resilience.

The Science

How Rejuran Works

Rejuran works with the skin's own processes over a course of treatment, focusing on skin quality rather than volume.

  1. Precise placement

    Rejuran is placed into the dermis through a series of fine injections.

  2. Supportive framework

    Polynucleotides are designed to act as a scaffold for the skin's restoration processes.

  3. Fibroblast support

    Research suggests polynucleotides may support fibroblast activity, the cells involved in collagen production.

  4. Gradual change

    Any changes develop over the weeks following a course of treatment, not immediately. Results vary between individuals.

Suitability is assessed at consultation. Under-eye concerns have many causes, including genetics, pigmentation, visible blood vessels and bone structure, and not all respond to skin quality treatments. Where another approach is more appropriate, or treatment is not needed, our nurses will advise accordingly.
